If you are into fishing or you just like good entertainment and food, Dularge’s annual fair and fishing rodeo is a good spot for you this weekend.
The Knights of Columbus St. Eloi Council No. 8779’s annual fair and fishing rodeo is scheduled for Oct. 21-23 at the club home, 1331 Dr. Beatrous Road, Dularge. The 26th annual fair features rides, games, food, music and auctions.
“Our council works to support the community, the school and the church with our fundraisers,” said Nancy Theriot, the event’s co-organizer. “This has become our top event.”
Theriot said one of the festival’s biggest attractions this year is who’s coming to visit.
She said Joe Lafont and Tommy Chauvin, stars of The History Channel’s “Swamp People,” will sign autographs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 22.
“They wanted to be here because they are part of the community,” Theriot said.
Theriot said there will be plenty of food to suit all palates. “Everything is home cooking,” she said. “We even bread the catfish and other foods ourselves.”
